A fretless Yamaha bass was brought in to have the side dot markers "relocated" in line with the fret-lines. We drilled out the originals and filled with matching rosewood. New white ones were fitted. The fretboard edge was relacquered.
One of our regular customers wanted a very lightweight guitar to play whilst he was recovering from surgery. We made him a minimalist lightweight instrument which weighs only 2.6 pounds (just over 1 kg !!
This lovely Schecter had suffered a nasty deep ding on the front, luckily this was contained within a black strpe so an economical repair is possible.
We are refinishing a Les Paul in vintage gold top nitro, front back and sides.
Two regular customers brought their basses in for their annual service/setup. 1978 Rickenbacker 4001 bass and Fender Precision from 1977.

The Candy Apple red precision bass body and the Fiesta red refinished Strat have been buffed and polished and await collection.
We have fitted a Fishman Ellipse with undersaddle pickup to this lovely all mahogany Martin D15.
The Black Epiphone now sports a Bigsby B50 Tremolo and has been setup to play low and fast.
The Washburn EA50 is rather rare and was suffering from a high action. The rosewood bridge base was reworked and 3mm was removed. The saddle carrier has also had 3mm removed from its base. Each individual saddle had to be lowered too and the opportunity was taken to perfect the intonation at the same time. The electrics have been serviced and it has been restrung with 11's............
..........Just a few examples of some of the work we have carried out over the last week or so.

This Japanese 62 reissue Fender Strat has the fotoflame finish. The finish has cracked badly and has peeled off in places which is not uncommon on these models due to the way the photo finish was applied. The owner has requested a nitro-cellulose paint finish in Fiesta red. Firstly the guitar is dismantled and the parts safely stored. The finish is removed with the help of some heat which melts the photographic emulsion beneath the paint. The residue on the edges is sanded off and the whole body is then finish sanded ready for painting. It will be primed shortly.....
