The Parsons Green Hipshot B Bender

The owner of this Fender Telecaster guitar asked for a Parsons Green Hipshot B bender to be installed to the guitar.

The B bender has an adjustment wheel to adjust the amount of bend.....up to 2 semi-tones.

First, with the neck and hardware removed, the body was carefully marked for correct positioning of the B bender.

Drilling and routing

The hole to accommodate the tower was then drilled from the front and the large ferule was fitted. The back of the guitar was marked out for the routing template, which was positioned and the cavity machined to the correct depths.

Test fitting the B Bender and adapting the bridge saddle

Next, the unit was test fitted and the mounting holes drilled.

The bridge saddle and base plate had to be modified to allow correct clearance of the B string.

Reassembly

Once all of the modifications were complete, the guitar was then strung and set up.
