Welcome to Guitar Angel - guitar repairs and restoration

...specialists in vintage guitar restoration, repairs, nitro-cellulose refinishing, fretwork, setups and servicing

'G.A.' workshop is a thriving family business led by Angela Arnott (the guitar angel!), a professional luthier for over 30 years and one of the UKs leading vintage guitar restoration specialists. An extensive knowledge and understanding of vintage instruments, construction, finishing techniques, materials and processes ensures that all work is carried out sympathetically, expertly, to exacting high standards and with the utmost level of care and attention. As such, Angela has gained professional membership of N.A.M.I.R. (the national association of musical instrument repairers) and I.M.I.T. (The institute of musical instrument technology), and is also recommended by Luke Hobbs, head of the guitar dept - auctioneer and valuer at The UK's premier guitar auction house, Gardiner Houlgate.

Together with her son Tig Arnott a comprehensive range of services is offered for both vintage and modern guitars and basses, acoustic or electric, also extending to ukuleles, mandolins and other stringed instruments. As the saying goes 'no job is too big or too small', we're happy to do everything from a setup to a major restoration. On extensive projects customers are updated with pictorial reports as work progresses.

Our dedicated workshops and studios are situated in the heart of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, serving the local community, along with clients throughout the UK and internationally. Long distance enquiries are welcome and we are happy to assess initially via email photographs.  We generally use UPS insured courier services, for the return of instruments which are posted to us. For more info - and lots of pics of some of the vintage and high end guitars and projects we've had the pleasure of working on, please take a look around our site...
